Maine Pond Hockey Classic Returns to Snow Pond Center for the Arts in 2025
Sidney, Maine – The Maine Pond Hockey Classic (MPHC) is set to make a triumphant return from February 14 to 16, 2025, at the picturesque Snow Pond Center for the Arts in Sidney, Maine. This annual event brings together hockey enthusiasts from across the region to celebrate the sport in its most authentic form—on the pond.
For 2025, MPHC is thrilled to welcome Hammond Lumber Company as our lead sponsor, whose generous support will enhance the experience for players and spectators alike. This year’s event will serve as a fundraiser for the Alfond Youth & Community Center, supporting their vital programs and services for youth and families in the community. Learn more about their work at ClubAYCC.org.
Exciting Additions for 2025
In a groundbreaking expansion of the event, the MPHC will feature two new activities:
1. Youth Pond Hockey Tournament: For the first time, young players will have their chance to compete in a special youth division, fostering a love for the sport among the next generation. Details and registration information can be found at mainepondhockey.org/youth.
2. Ice Golf Tournament: In partnership with Maine Golf, MPHC introduces ice golf, a unique and fun experience combining the thrill of golf with the charm of the frozen outdoors. For more information, visit mainepondhockey.org/icegolf.
3. Boot Hockey Division: Last years unseasonable warm temperatures force everyone into boots, everyone had so much fun we brought back this as a division, opening doors for non -skaters to join the action!
