American Heritage Tour

The American Heritage Tours are part of the Alfond Youth & Community Center family.

Mission

We strive to allow members of the community to build an understanding of our historical, political, cultural, and ethnic heritage while developing leadership, responsibility, and self-esteem.

The American Heritage Tour is a week-long trip for 8th Graders. Students and Chaperones explore historic sites throughout New York, Pennsylvania, Washington D.C., Virginia, and Boston. Travel is made stress-free by a seamless itinerary and prearranged transportation and lodging.

Join us for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure.

Trips are open enrollment and first-come first-serve, any student and chaperone can register for any week they would like. Trips will follow the AYCC and school policies to keep participants safe and healthy.

The American Heritage Tour travels across seven States to over 20 major historical sites. While we navigate the ever-changing landscape of health safety and protocols in all of those different places, please know that we are doing out best to balance the continuation of our traditional historical trips with the safety of our participants, the communities we serve, and the communities we visit. We are thankful for everyone’s continued patience and understanding.

If you have any questions, please contact the Abbie Charrier, Youth Programs Director at 207-873-0684 or email acharrier@clubaycc.org.

Auto Payment Form

The AYCC utilizes an online database for our registrations and payments. Here are some helpful hints when registering.

1. All registrants should create a FREE NON-MEMBER PARTICIPANT account.

2. Begin by adding the ADULT (parent/guardian) first, and then add the youth onto the account while setting up. The system will not allow youth to be set up first and all accounts must have an adult listed, regardless if they are registering for the tour.

3. If you are unable to add youth to the account, please call our Welcome Center to add a youth onto the account.

4. Then complete the registration, following all the steps.

5. For issues or errors with registration, or login errors, please reach out to Wendy Grenier for assistance.  Email / 207-873-0684.

6. We suggest keeping your login credentials somewhere safe because at any time, families may login to the account to make payments or to see a current balance. To login after registration, please use this link.
