Making a Splash: 2025 Polar Plunge Raises Over $40,000 for a Great Cause!
This past weekend, the 2025 Polar Plunge proved once again that a little cold can’t stop a warm-hearted community! With 135 fearless participants taking the plunge into icy waters, the event was a resounding success, raising an incredible $40,000+ to fight food insecurity in our community.
A Community United for a Cause
From young adventurers to seasoned thrill-seekers, plungers of all ages gathered, ready to brave the frigid temperatures for a cause that truly matters. Spectators cheered as each jumper took the leap, creating an atmosphere filled with excitement, energy, and a shared commitment to making a difference.
Why We Plunge
Every dollar raised helps us continue programming that feeds the youth in our community. Thanks to the dedication of our participants, donors, and sponsors, this year’s event surpassed expectations, proving that when a community comes together, amazing things happen.
For reference, in 2024, the AYCC provided:
- 70,000 meals provided Monday-Friday in our childcare programs
- 14,000 meal kits provided for weekend meals through Greenhouse to Your House
