Q. How old were you when you started training?

A. I was 25 when I went to my first ninja gym. I could only do 3 pull ups and I had a really hard time doing anything upper body. My background was in track and field and we didn’t need that much strength in our arms. I didn’t have a ninja gym when I was a kid, so I can’t imagine how strong I would be if I was able to start younger. Just think how strong you’ll all be when you’re 25 if you start training now!

Q. Have you fallen in the water on American Ninja Warrior?

A. Yes, I’ve fallen many times on the show. My first season I didn’t hit a single buzzer, so that means I fell on every course. But now I have 10 buzzers, so if I had been too discouraged and given up after my first season I wouldn’t have achieved any of my goals or hit any of those buzzers! Falling motivated me to train harder!

Q. Why did you start doing American Ninja Warrior?

A. The first time I tried obstacles I found that I loved the challenge! It was so fun learning how to do all the different obstacles and even if I wasn’t strong enough to do them yet, that I could work hard and eventually beat that obstacle. It was so rewarding accomplishing the smalls goals I made for myself each time. Once I felt like I had trained long enough and I was getting stronger I wanted to try out on the show and see how I could do!

The climbing wall inside NinjAdventure Zone features 7 belay stations, 4 of which have TruBlue Auto Belays. Auto Belays are great for providing a safe climbing experience while increasing the amount of time each climber can spend enjoying the climbing experience. The climbing wall is open during all NinjAdventure Zone hours and is available to rent during off hours.
